With Klick we are attempting to improve the visibility of local businesses, and improve their ability to do business in their communities.
Klick is an online marketplace and data visualisation tool to both allow consumers to connect with small businesses in their local area, as well as to allow businesses themselves to visualise various useful metrics including area footfall, demand, inventory, and the conversion rate of potential consumers to actualised buyers broken down by individual area.
We have two different UIs; one for the consumer or the end user, one for the businesses. The consumers are provided with the inventory information for different products and product category in each of the region. The businesses are provided with analytics about their inventory, sales, demands and consumer footfalls.
Both UIs are backed with a single database containing information about local businesses and their offerings. The UI for businesses contains option for uploading the product information.
The analytics logic is computed at the backend.
We struggled with time management and communications. Each member had their own ideas which could not be compiled into a cohesive product.
Within this project we learned valuable lessons in the areas of time management, task assignment strategies, as well as gaining valuable insights into the various aspects of hackathon performance.
Improve on the prototype, develop a coherent business model/ revenue model.
